This role requires meaningful experience in pharmaceutical drug development and knowledge of sophisticated analytics, bringing to bear diverse data domains and leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize programs across development. This includes novel uses of real world data and evidence to shape regulatory and payer discussion, and drive efficiencies in clinical programs. Integrating digital health to support patient identification and the development of quantitative endpoints. And driving the use of genetics, molecular analytics, and neuroimaging from the era of basic research to direct compound strategy through precision medicine. Responsibilities:
The candidate will focus on the Neuropsychiatry data science portfolio, with responsibility for setting the strategy, prioritization and execution of data science and digital health opportunities end-to-end across the pipeline. This will be achieved by leading internal and external talent to drive precision medicine strategies focused on patient identification leveraging molecular, digital, real world, imaging, and other data modalities; initiatives integrating multi-modal data through AI/ML to impact at target identification and precision medicine across a range of Neuropsychiatric diseases. The candidate's work will be tightly coupled with our Neuroscience Discovery and Translational Medicine, Population Genetics, and JRD Data Science teams. Create the strategy and process for evaluating target opportunities from the perspective of genetics, brain biology, and mechanism, drawing upon a combination of internal and external resources. Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to develop data-driven strategies for precision medicine in neuropsychiatry, being forward looking and foreseeing the path to launch. Chart the path for the use of real-world data integrated within clinical programs to accelerate development, and strengthen understanding of unmet need and opportunities to benefit patient subtypes within and across neurpsychiatric indications. Remain current on the constantly evolving landscape of neuropsychiatry, genomics, bioinformatics and AIML research and use of RWD in search of new strategies for strengthening the portfolio.
Qualifications Education:
PhD with 10 years of progressive experience in a computational or physical science with prior applying data science to life sciences. A degree in a biological science with extensive application of data science methodologies will also be considered. Experience and Skills:
Required:
Extensive background working hands-on deriving insights from high-dimensional molecular data, neuroimaging, real-world data. Internationally recognized track record of scientific contributions in this field with first author publications in high-impact journals. Prior experience working in the context of target discovery and validation in a pharmaceutical company. Ability to translate data into information and strategies into executable action plans. Known for driving towards novel solutions to problems (often sought after for strategic advice) Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams including scientists and clinicians. Ability to clearly communicate technical work to a diverse audience is required. Preferred:
Background and experience working in Neuroscience Familiarity with clinical development processes. Other:
Up to 10% yearly travel is required (International, Domestic).
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
