The Portfolio Delivery Options (PDO) Strategic Project Lead (SPL) will report to the Director, Strategic Program Leader within PDO. This role will support, in collaboration with the Global Operations Heads, Global Program Leaders, and appropriate partners, managing the implementation framework for biomarker strategies in Oncology and other applicable Therapeutic Areas (TA's) within the agreed scope, timing, cost, and quality. This person will lead and coordinate central biomarker strategy operations activities across TA's as needed and partner closely with functional team members both internal and external to Janssen. The SPL will provide strong leadership to effectively drive strategic approaches from planning through execution and promote best practices across the organization. Key
Responsibilities:
Optimize the standardized operating model to efficiently identify and implement patient matching vendor services for biomarker-driven clinical trials implemented across all TA's Further enhance the operating model by integrating future cross TA innovative ways of working such as Direct to Participant, Home Health Care, and wearables Provide guidance and support to partners on how to globally institute the biomarker project work and how it will be scaled to fit the increasing need across all TAs Develop positive relationships to optimize the collaboration within and beyond PDO, incorporating externally with our vendor partners, to align with key business priorities and annual goals and objectives Maintain and enhance the framework for implementing new innovations into our clinical trials from the central team perspective to deliver one PDO strategy Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables Sponsors and partners to have visibility and sufficient information for informed decision-making Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively handled to minimize disruption to successful delivery Develop a robust organizational change and communication plan to ensure readiness to adapt Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required. A minimum of 10 years of relevant clinical research, business and project management experience with a minimum of 3 years leading teams in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare science Demonstrated proficiency in standard PM tools and templates and a consistent record of Project management, leading experience is required; multi-discipline experience multi-functional teams and cross-functional team management Ability to provide forward-thinking and strategic leadership Strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to establish strong and enduring relationships in a global networked environment as well as the adaptability to work in a rapidly growing and changing organization Trusted, inclusive leader with demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring cross-functional, global teams Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills Proven track record to cultivate team productivity and cohesiveness in changing environment Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions in a timely fashion along with excellent follow through and organizational skills to assure team and organizational alignment to these decisions. Strong ability to collaborate and balance multiple priorities Ability to travel up to 20% of time (Domestic/International) Preferred:
Masters' Degree or PhD strongly preferred. Project Management Certification Technical expertise, preferably in GMP or pharmaceutical clinical operations, with experience gained through working with diverse and complex business processes and associated systems infrastructures Demonstrated abilities in shaping and delivering key programs that optimize performance and team member outcomes in networked environments
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Business Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
