This position is responsible for the creation and management of agreements between Janssen or J&J affiliates on behalf of Janssen, and its customers and complex program suppliers, for a variety of services that support patients who have been prescribed a Janssen product. This individual will have a primary alignment to the Director of Offer Development; implement the SCG Contract Management Mission and Vision for distribution, complex supplier programs, and fee for service engagements with customers; and be responsible for the strategic design and development of agreements in collaboration with the Law Department, HCC, Privacy, Finance, Pharmacovigilance, Safety Services, Procurement, Brand Teams, and Patient Engagement & Customer Solutions team. Main Responsibilities Develop Master Agreement and Product Documents:
Participate in the development of strategies. Prepare templates for Master Agreements, Product Documents, Product Agreements, Notices, Waivers, Scopes of Work, etc. that reflect approved strategies. Negotiate Contracts:
Serve as the lead negotiator for high complexity Agreements or novel arrangements between Janssen or J&J affiliates on behalf of Janssen and its customers and complex program suppliers. Serve as the Learned Intermediary for the SCG Contract Managers:
Provide first line guidance to the SCG Contract Managers during contract negotiations with customers. Develop Process Narratives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI):
Develop Process Narratives, SOPs and WIs that define the approved procedures for developing and executing Agreements with customers and complex program suppliers. Ensure that all approved documents are uploaded in the appropriate records management system for easy access by the Offer Development and the J&J legal team and tracked for metrics analysis. Ensure that all Agreement templates are drafted in a compliant manner:
Ensure that all Agreements comply with the laws and regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry, the Guidance Documents issued by the J&J Legal Department, and Janssen policies and procedures. Actively participate in talent management and culture within the Offer Development team. This includes direct and indirect talent management, matrix talent management, and mentoring. Qualifications Required Experience / Education A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required A minimum of 8 years of business-related experience, including contract management experience A minimum of 2 years of experience drafting and/or negotiating contracts Required Essential Skills A demonstrated Credo mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate business situations clearly and accurately, and to address and resolve issues by communicating difficult information constructively and diplomatically Ability to influence without authority at all levels, including senior leaderships Ability to work with all levels in the organization and with customers Demonstrated Intellectual Curiosity; hungry to learn more about the evolving health care marketplace and how it impacts the pharmaceutical industry Demonstrated Business Acumen; understanding of the health care marketplace, the competitive position of our products, and the process by which patients gain access to our products Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in an ambiguous environment Big picture orientation and pay attention to detail; ability to think strategically, to leverage industry knowledge to anticipate and prepare for the future while at the same time, ensuring that contract templates and executed documents accurately reflect approved strategies Experience working in a matrixed environment Leadership skills needed to indirectly manage contract managers Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and coach and train new contract managers Preferred Skills Experience in contract management for, distribution, Complex Supplier Programs and/or Fee for Service Agreements Juris Doctorate or Para legal certification, MBA or advanced degree Other This position can sit in Titusville, New Jersey or Horsham, Pennsylvania. Up to 20% travel between the Janssen sites in Pennsylvania and New Jersey required
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
